I have been studying the guitar for 45 years now, and teaching for the past 22 years. I teach most contemporary styles and use the Registry of Guitar Tutors syllabus for assessment reference. I teach at my home near Oxford city centre. I also play and teach PEDAL STEEL guitar, and bass guitar.
My teaching room is equipped with a modest 16-track recording facility , so students can record their playing and hear it back. It is also fun to play around with layering sounds and arrangements. I have a keyboard (Korg Triton), a drum kit and a saxophone as well as a few guitars and percussion instruments. My youngest student is 5 yrs old, my oldest older than me.
